(((RENEWABLE ENERGY SOURCE)))
---
What is solar power?
Solar power is the conversion of solar energy into electricity by collecting sun rays into solar panels and converting it into electricity, which goestoyour power lines. It is a Renewable energy source and a very environmental way to produce electricity. It is measured in kilowatts.
How is solar power generated?
Solar power is generated by collecting sunlight which goes to your solar panels and it goes into your electric current, providing you electricity.

Pros and Cons
Positives (Advantages)
Negatives (Disadvantages)
-Long lasting.
-Environmental.
-Non polluting.
-Renewable.
-provides electricity for over 15,000 homes.
-reliable.
-Not loud like any other energy sources.
-Easy to Maintain .
-Doesn't produce harmful gases.
-Eco-friendly.
-Easy to set up.
-Too expensive.
-Won’t work if there’s no sun.
-Only useful when the sun is shining.
-Pollution can affect the panels.
-Not everyone can afford.

Comparison to other sources.
-Solar power creates greenhouse gases like carbon dioxide, unlike other energy sources that create toxic gases.
-Other energy sources create large pollutions like nuclear waste, toxic gases, etc.
- Little maintenance is required for solar panels.
-People invest too much money into other energy sources, especially Nuclear and Fossil fuels. Solar power is inexpensive.

Fun Facts:
- Car companies are finding ways to make solar powered cars.
- Solar Energy is better for the environment than traditional forms of energy.
- You can cook food with solar energy.
- In the ancient times, they used solar power to determine what time it is of the day also known as sundials.
- Solar energy is measured in kilowatts per hour.
- The sun is also the main source of non-renewable fossil fuels (coal, gas and petroleum), which began life as plants or animals whose energy came from the sun millions of year ago.
- Da Vinci predicted a solar industrialization as far back as 1447.
- In one hour more sunlight falls on the earth than what is used by the entire population in one year.
- Solar power releases safe gases such as carbon dioxide.
- Solar power is a major breakthrough and has been used by alot of people...
Conclusion:
The mayor should choose solar power because it is easy to set up, environmental, non-polluting, and you don't have to maintain it. The mayor shouldalso choose solar power because it is an efficient way to get electricity. Although it is expensive, it will be the best way to get electricity because it provides electricity for over 15,000 homes.
